Fashion designer, L’Wren Scott was found dead in her apartment, at 200 11th Avenue in New York City, at 10 am this morning.

Scott has been dating Mick Jagger since 2001, who is currently in Australia with the Rolling Stones.

The NY Daily News reports that Scott hung herself – but first texted her assistant at 8:30 am, asking her to come over. She was found hanging from a scarf tied to her doorknob.

Her dresses have been worn by many celebrities, including Madonna, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz. Prior to launching her own collection in 2006, she worked as a stylist in Hollywood.

Scott was originally from Utah. Over the years, the fashion label collaborated with other brands, including Lancome.

Gossip blogs were reporting that Scott’s auto-scheduled posts were continuing on Facebook and Twiitter this morning, causing fans to wonder what was happening – so her staff just created a new Facebook page, facebook.com/RIPLWrenScott.

The new Facebook page honors the designer – while also keeping comments about her tragic suicide separate from the company’s Facebook page.
